  1. The offense in game number 1 (any game option) 
  2. makes use of the extra winners in the heart suit
  3. in the shorthand (in this case dummy), to remove 
  4. the losers in diamonds in the long hand.

  6. The long hand (usually the hand with the most trumps)
  7. has a total of 4 losers, 1 club and 3 diamonds.
  8. Since the bid was 4 hearts, only 3 tricks can be
  9. lost and still make game.   At least one loser will
  10. have to be removed from the long hand.  Since you
  11. have to lose a club regardless, the correct play
  12. is to discard a diamond on the heart.

  14. Note:  Extra winners exist when the short hand has
  15. more cards in the suit than the long hand, and the
  16. winners are developed without trumping the suit in
  17. the long hand.
